What did you do before worked at NESS?
Before joining Ness, I did B2C and B2C marketing in various other industries.
Why did you decide to work for NESS?
In 2018, the opportunity arose to completely realign and build up marketing in some areas at NESS. The foundation as a solid, family-run company with development potential, communication at eye level and the necessary willingness to invest was very appealing to me. So I gratefully accepted the challenge with verve and the necessary passion.
What is your working day like at NESS? What are your daily tasks?
The main area of responsibility is, of course, primarily the strategic and operational orientation of the marketing activities. Operationally, I like to work on projects in the day-to-day business, but I also like to get help from outside for the best possible technical expertise.
Otherwise, NESS thrives on a clear hands-on mentality. So people help each other across departments – project-related and not hierarchy-related – where and when they can, instead of fighting each other in petty wars.
There’s usually just a great spirit, as long as you like to think outside the box.
What do you like best about your job? What task do you enjoy the most?
The exchange with colleagues from other departments is exciting. It’s also nice to see how you grow with your tasks. You have enough freedom to develop.
I find that the process heat sector brings with it many exciting projects with customers and suppliers from a wide range of industries. More than you think at first glance.
What has been your best moment at NESS?
I think the best thing is when good colleagues become friends. It’s the way we work together at NESS that brings people together.
It’s also always great to go to trade fairs and events with Dietmar Ness. My boss has a huge network, knows an incredible number of locations to party at and takes part in almost every nonsense 😉
What qualities do new work colleagues at NESS need to fit into the work culture?
Flexibility in thinking and acting, as well as a cosmopolitan mindset. If you are looking for a standard job with standard tasks, you are completely wrong here.
How do you describe the atmosphere at NESS?
I like coming to work. Most of them are tolerant and open to new things. Not only the younger colleagues. You can always contribute and participate with your ideas and visions. It’s simply fun 🙂
What makes NESS as an employer special to you?
That you can’t be slavishly corporate and always function like a machine. Everyone experiences their own individual ups and downs. Whether it’s direct colleagues or the management, you always get a sympathetic ear and support. This is not a matter of course. Personality and humanity still count here.
