The focus was on engineering, fabrication, and installation of modern piping systems under significant time pressure. Piping systems were installed for steam, thermal oil, and a steam-fiber mixture. The challenge of the project lay not only in its technical complexity but also in the surrounding conditions: parts of the buildings were still under construction while other trades were installing their components in parallel. During operation, temperatures typically range between 250 and 280\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>A particular challenge was a DN300 steam distribution manifold classified in Category IV, which underwent T\u00dcV inspection and approval. Steam pipelines place special demands on planning and execution due to high internal pressures and the risk of steam hammer.<\/p>\n<p>The design parameters of the steam pipelines were 19 bar pressure and a temperature of 215\u00b0C.
