The focus was on an economical solution that can be implemented with minimal technical effort and can be expanded in the long term. In the first stage, the dryer supply air is heated to up to 120 \u00b0C using the available excess steam output &#8211; exactly within the permissible limits of the existing dryer.<\/p>\n<p>The system has been designed so that it can be expanded at any time: Additional heat exchangers can be added with little effort if more steam is available in the future. The heat exchanger unit was installed directly at the inlet duct of the dryer supply air &#8211; without interfering with the existing main systems.<\/p>\n<p>In the very first year of operation, the customer was able to save a considerable amount of natural gas as a result of the measure &#8211; thus significantly reducing operating costs and avoiding CO2 emissions at the same time.
